Gentle Yoga with Becky Collins will meet from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. each Thursday at The Hub on Canal, 132 Canal St., New Smyrna Beach.

With a focus on stretching, lengthening, and breath work, Ms. Collins leads participants through mild stretching techniques that will help tone the body and de-stress. Beginners welcome. Class for ages 10 and older.

The fee is $10 per class. Limited enrollment of 11.

The City of Daytona Beach offers swimming pool access at the Campbell Aquatic Center, 400 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., and the Cypress Aquatic Center, 981 George W. Engram Blvd.

Cypress has swim hours from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday to Saturday. Admission is $3 for adults and $2 for 17 years old and younger.

The Campbell Aquatic Center is temporarily closed for resurfacing of the two pools and installation of a new motor pump.

Daytona Beach residents can feel the burn with cardio kickboxing at the Dickerson Center at 308 S. Dr. Martin Luther King Blvd.

Classes are offered for adults from noon to 1 p.m. Monday to Friday and 5 to 6 p.m. for youth ages 5 to 17. Each session is $5 per person.

Gentle Yoga with Kim Latford will meet at 5:20 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesdays until Sept. 27, at Ormond Memorial Art Museum, 78 E. Granada Blvd., Ormond Beach.

Nova Community Center gym to reopen soon

The gym at Nova Community Center, at 440 N. Nova Road, Ormond Beach, has been closed for floor repairs. The gym is expected to reopen after Labor Day.

Alternate outdoor courts are available at Central Park, Nova Community Center and Osceola Elementary.

Beginner line dancing will meet at 5 p.m. each Monday. The cost is $4. Intermediate line dancing will meet from 6:30 to 8 p.m. The cost is $5. Multi level line dancing will meet from 9 a.m. to noon each Wednesday. The cost is $6.

Chair Yoga classes are offered from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Tuesdays at the Daytona Beach Shores Community Center at 3000 Bellemead Drive.

The class is for those who will practice seated and standing poses using a chair for support to help improve balance, posture, energy, breathing, strength, flexibility and relaxation.

The center also offers Gentle Yoga classes from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays with floor to standing poses. Yoga classes are taught by Mardi Williams, a certified yoga teacher.

The cost is $8. Daytona Beach Shores residency and membership are not required.

Advanced Laughter Yoga will meet at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17. Join Leader Donna Marie O'Malley for a time of unconditional laughter. All exercises can be done from the comfort of a chair. The event is free and open to the public.
